Buzz Buzz News on KODA Coming to the International District

As a feature on Buzz Buzz News outlines, "KODA, a 200-unit condo tower designed by Seattle firm KMD Architects and developed by Taiwan-based Da Li Development, has begun the design review process." Located in the International District, plans indicate an anticipated groundbreaking in spring 2018 with floor plans ranging "from studios to two bedrooms." 

According to the article, "The City of Seattle planning department employs an International District Special Review process as part of the Master Use Permit application process, which approves the building's overall architecture, exterior finishing and landscaping plan." 

As Yang Lee, a Director with KMD Architects tells Buzz Buzz News, "We are exploring several design alternatives pursuant to comments received by the Special Review Board and we seek opinions from the community as well. We have an opportunity to further anchor Japantown and its contribution within the International District. We are paying homage to a historic past while participating in the renaissance taking place in the International District."
